Like most central Texans, I suffer BAD with seasonal allergies. Especially cedar and mold…the double whammy! With the swollen, itchy, watery eyes and SO much nasal congestion that I can’t sleep for a whole month!

No sleep and super swollen for the WHOLE MONTH OF JANUARY!

You know what I’m talking about!! Everyone in central Texas looks like they’ve been in a fight with Mike Tyson this time of year!!

I told my husband I was going to move away every January because it is soooo bad!!!

I personally like to do all natural things to heal myself rather than go straight for prescriptions.

I’m a firm believer in what Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.”

With such bad allergies, I went looking for how I can breathe and sleep in the month of January.

That is when this awesome nasal decongestant was discovered.

What Makes this the Best Decongestant?

Radishes and onions both have a Sulphur compound to them that helps break up mucus. Garlic contains allicin which also helps break up the mucus in the nasal passage ways.

All three contain anti inflammatory compounds which of course is like the biggest reason for the congestion!! You’re all swollen!!

Then you add in the honey (of course you need to use honey that is local to your area to get the most benefit…I use honey from Great Oaks Farm which is local here to Leander but will soon be using our own honey from the hives we have on the farm) which is antibacterial so it helps fight off that nasty sinus infection that seems to always come around when things get stuffy!!

Not to mention the lemon juice which helps to soothe the sore throat that comes along with all the drainage.

This is like the all around fighter of nasal congestion!! We’re going to hit you harder Mike Tyson!

Is It Good For Kids?

My family has been using it for years!!

It helps a lot and is actually not too bad tasting!!

The honey really counterbalances all the spice and the kids take it easily!!

It is definitely a must have for your up and coming allergy season!!

So if you’re like me and stuffy as all get out, you absolutely NEED to make this!!!

I would LOVE to hear how it helps you this allergy season!! Leave a comment below to let me know how much you are breathing this time of year!!
