Event Date:
May 8, 2021
Event Time:
11:00 am
11327 Hero Way West, Leander TX 78641
Have a child who is interested in how things grow and what it takes to be a farmer?
Join us for May 8th Only, where your young farmers will get their hands dirty learning what it takes to be a farmer and increase what they already know about plant growth.
After our fun, hands-on farming session, where we will follow the farmer around and do what he’s doing, whether he’s planting plants, playing with cool tools, or working on the irrigation system, there will be a discussion about the tasks they did, a fun activity to solidify what they learned, and a chance to play at our Nature Playscape.
Sorry, this event is expired and no longer available.
Event FAQs
Is this a drop off class?
Yes, you may drop off your kids. We will have a place for parents to sit and enjoy the farm while the kids are in class.
What is your cancelation/refund policy?
You may cancel for a full refund up until the day before your first class. After that, there are no refunds as all funds go into the farm for paying teachers and/or supplies.
Isle Acre Farms deems the weather is too bad and cancels for the day, a make-up day will be issued. See the weather FAQ.
Isle Acre Farms deems the weather is too bad and cancels for the day, a make-up day will be issued. See the weather FAQ.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We fully believe that children benefit from playing in all sorts of weather types, ie. rain, cold, etc. It gives them a chance to experience the elements and how to handle them. We strongly encourage you to dress your children appropriately for outdoor play and for the weather. Dressed appropriately they should be able to endure. If Isle Acre Farms deems the weather to be too treacherous, we will cancel the class via email and issue a makeup date. We will attempt to have dry seating for parents.
What should my child wear?
Just regular play clothes that are ok to get dirty and/or wet, are fine but closed-toe shoes are required. Please dress them appropriately for the weather...i.e. raincoat, hat, sunscreen, etc. You will also want to have garden gloves. They are not required but some children prefer to have them. Make sure to bring plenty of water for your child.
Can I stay and watch?
YES! But this event is for May 8th only. Check out our events page for all the classes!
What is your mask policy?
We follow local guidelines that strongly encourage masks to be worn if 6ft of social distance can not be maintained.
