Simmered and Roasted Turnips

For the roasted turnips
- 1 bunch turnip roots split the bunch between the roots and greens
- 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
For the turnip greens
- 1 bunch of turnip greens split the bunch between the roots and greens
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- salt & pepper to taste
For the greens
Chop and wash all the greens.
Add to a pot with vegetable broth and the coconut sugar.
Bring to a boil.
Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 1 hour.
Salt & pepper to taste.
Serve warm with the soup base and roasted turnips.
For the turnip roots
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
While the greens are cooking, wash and chop the turnip roots into quarters.
Add them to a baking sheet.
Toss with Everything Bagel Seasoning
Roast in the oven for 20 mins.
Salt & pepper to taste.
Serve warm with turnip greens.
